Sayla, Gujarat

Our study highlights effects of climate change on rural agricultural communities in Gujarat, India and seeks to explain the differential impacts of climate change in relation to existing human systems. Our findings exemplify that when the effects of climate change are layered on top of existing socio-economic vulnerabilities, the consequences are compounded and augmented, hitting poor, rural, and at-risk communities the hardest and expanding the advantage gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’.
